So Much Hardware and So Little Time

Ok, so you are not a certified computer geek, but you know how to do the basics and like to tinker. You don't have a lot of cash to spend, but need to get some reasonable hardware for your system. Maybe upgrade that old motherboard, or get your first CD Writer. You don't need the latest and greatest, but you need some new stuff.

Know pretty much what you want, but need to compare prices or compare brands and reviews? Two excellent references are Cnet.com which has great links to reviews and comparisons, as well as links to the best prices and vendor ratings. You can also find out what others have to say about the products that they purchased.

Also, check out Pricewatch.com to look at the latest price comparisons, vendor list and even estimated shipping costs.


Search Engines

One of the crucial tools for finding out information is a good search engine. Everyone has their favorites. But, one stands out in my book. Google.com With a little learning curve and persistence, you can find out anything! Don't leave the keyboard without it!
