Resizing a VDI

  1. Back-up the original VDI in another location
  2. apply the commands to clone the VDI, then resize it.
  3. Backup and move the upsized VDI to another location.
  4. Remove Virtualbox and its associated file from the Mac
  5. If you attempt to reattach the new VDI with the old installation, a UUID error will occur.
  6. Reinstall Virtualbox and reattach the new VDI as a new OS.
